On Thursday, March 10th we purchased 9 goldfish to release into the aquarium. The reason we wanted to do this was to add to the tank as well as to stimulate the turtles brain and provide more activity for them. We purchased more in the hopes that the turtles would also consume a few of the fish too. We left the goldfish in the bag to float in the tank water for an hour on Friday morning before opening the bag and releasing the 9 fish into the tank with the other two gold fish and the turtles. This worked out perfectly and all was well. What we hope to see after the weekend is the turtles have eaten a few fish as well as the other gold fish growing and adapting well to their new environment.
